A Name That Means Something
The Silk Road was more than a trading route for the ancient world. It was the route upon which many of the most exquisite handmade goods were transported from one part of the planet to the other. Among those items were rugs. Many of the rug making traditions that were started along these trade routes are still used to care for the area’s most exquisite rugs.
We chose Silk Road Oriental Rug Pros as company name to reflect the origin of many of our rugs and the regions from which they came. These rug artisan specialists have experience with rugs from artisan regions such as Persia, Turkey, Afghanistan, Central Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. We also use the same degree of care and respect for the rug that was used to make it.

What We Bring to the Rug Industry
After years of experience working on rugs of every kind and construction, Silk Road Oriental Rug Pros have experience with rug healing, rug deep cleans, rug whitening, rug stains, rug fading, rug sanitizing, rug deodorizing, and rug deep steam cleaning. Some of the rugs we have cleaned include rug heirlooms from three generations of families, professionally purchased gallery rugs that had never touched the floor, rugs with pet stains, flood damage, soil from high traffic areas in their homes in South Orange County, and rugs exposed to the sun for years.
No rug is a like rug. No rug has the same issues or needs the same attention as another rug. That is why we do not use a one size fits all approach to rug cleaning. Each rug gets an inspection to determine the best approach to deep cleaning without causing damage. What works for a wool tribal rug may not work for a silk Isfahan rug. Thus, we have the experience and knowledge of how to handle each rug type.

Another reason behind the location of our shop is that the people of Trabuco Canyon are renowned rug enthusiasts who care for the homes that they have built in the area. Silk Road Oriental Rug Pros are looking to work with these discerning clients and take care of their rugs with the care that they give to their homes.
When you work with us, you are working with people who take this very personally. We are a small company that cares for rugs in the homes of people we know. That is why we live in Trabuco Canyon and work here. It is the only way that we can maintain the reputation that we have within this community of homeowners.
